Yesterday got quite busy and as soon as I thought I would have had time to write in the blog, I got up to something that occupied me.

My roommate Tara moved in yesterday morning.
We are now still waiting for two more to come and we suspect that they will come today.

How I started my day

Yesterday we had orientation and all international student met up to do some of the last administrative requirements, such as scanning our visas, and to get to know each other.
It was actually a really nice way to get to know some people - given that almost all of us live in the two big houses opposite each other.
So now when we see each other in the courtyard, we have already been somewhat introduced.

Walking through campus

When filling in our forms at the orientation, we also had to sign some release forms for certain trips we are to take.
At first when reading it I was like whaaaaat is it that we are going to do??

I am aware of the risks associated with traveling to/from and participating in this Activity, which include but are not limited to physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability (including paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and/or death.

Turns out, we are only going to the mall.

Back home we took another way and passed the football field.
So very American.

The guys had gotten free pizza yesterday, and not just a little so we had lunch together at their flat.
Some absolutely massive pizzas, and so extremely tasty.
We went out in the evening and checked out the barscene.
Everyone here is so friendly and the bars were really nice, despite it being just a Monday and most students are not here yet.

Today is quite a grey day, but we are all going to Target (the dangerous and apparently deadly mall-trip) to buy loads of things which we might need.
I am feeling quite tired and the weather is really quite on the low-key side, so I am comfy in a hoodie just chilling on the couch.

We just got a visit from one of the Sororities here at HSU.
I so want to join one, just to see what it is like.
Alex at Delta Phi Epsilon, Legally Blonde style - yaaay!
